Ridgeway Education Trust is a multi-academy trust (MAT) which currently comprises two secondary schools, Didcot Girls’ School and St Birinus School, with a joint Sixth Form of some 250 boys and girls.
Didcot Girls’ School is an outstanding school, as confirmed by Ofsted in its most recent inspection of the school in November 2015. We are looking for a committed and experienced Finance Officer (Exchequer) who will operate as a leader as a part of our Trust central finance team in ensuring that the day to day processing of financial transactions is undertaken in the most efficient and effective manner. The postholder will take responsibility for timely purchase ledger, sales ledger and cash book transactions as a core part of the role and have line management of a small team.
Terms and Conditions
37 hours per week term time plus two weeks with a start date as soon as possible. Pay will be within the range £18,356 to £20,131 per annum subject to skills and experience. Pay scales are reviewed annually on 1 April and are subject to national local government pay negotiations. The postholder also has access to the local government pension scheme.

Key Purpose of the Role
- To take responsibility for the Trust exchequer functions in order to support teaching and learning and ensure the Trust day to day financial tasks are undertaken in an efficient and effective manner in accordance with the Trust Finance Manual and Scheme of Delegation.
