Arrival of sculpture by Alison Berman

The Freeborn Gallery is excited to announce the arrival of a herd of deer sculptures in Frideswide's Quad. Oxford artist, Alison Berman, has kindly loaned the school the deer for the summer months. Cast from resin, the family of fallow deer are modelled on the famous deer of the Madgalen College herd. They have lived in many places previously - Lakeland hillsides, the woods at Shotover Park and even in a shop window on the Cowley Road. They will now spend their summer in the tranquility of a new glade within our school. Do stop and look at them as you pass by!
