About us
Diana is the web designer, designing most of the web page layout in HTML , advanced CSS. She also used Front Page 2003 just to tidy up the layout. Diana used Paint Shop Pro 8 to design the layout graphics.
Jo researched and created the sports, transport, football and schools pages. She also helped with the site colour theme.
Alice researched and created the History of Didcot, Places to go, Tour of Didcot , site map and local clubs pages. This involved searching the web, book and local information leaflets Alice then contacted all the relevant sites for permission to use photos and clip art from their site. Alice also took all the photos for the Tour of Didcot.
Hannah livened up the website by creating a animated graphic of the power station (using paint shop pro and animation shop) on the Home page and designing the cool roll over buttons. Hannah also added lots of funky animated graphics to the website from Microsoft clipart online. She also created the local events, art and music pages.
Overall, we have worked together co-operatively and effectively to produce a website about Didcot aimed for teenagers.
So how does this link to our work? Well, in PE we are working on fitness and getting involved in extracurricular activities, so we decided to make a website to benefit teenagers - so that they can go to find clubs and sport that they can join and enjoy!
We often hear people say "there's nothing to do in Didcot" so we thought we prove them wrong!
We hope teenagers, after looking at this site, will firstly find out about the many wonderful activities there are to do in Didcot. Then go out on join some of them!
