Schools in DidcotPrimary schools
The present School is the result of the amalgamation of Mereland Infant School
and Greenmere Junior School in 1984.
The school is found in Harwell which is a small village near to Didcot. There are many facilities and the school is currently working towards becoming an Eco-school.
Manor School is situated in West Didcot, Oxfordshire. The school is split into two parts. The infant side of Manor school was built in 1896 (Victorian times) and the junior side was built in 1965. There are around 450 pupils attending.
Northbourne School is a primary school which has between 260 and 300 pupils who are currently taught in ten classes. The school was opened in January 1962. It is of very modern design with nine bright and attractive classrooms and a most unusual triangular hall.
Ladygrove is a large housing estate in Didcot. The school is relatively new, founded in 1999. However the school uses a lot of technology and there are currently roughly 400 pupils on roll.
Stephen Freeman primary school
Named after Stephen Freeman who worked with early trains, this school is on the edge of Didcot and has a very official approach to learning.
Secondary Schools
Didcot Girls' is a growing school with roughly 1,500 pupils attending. The school has been going through a lot of changes recently under a new head. It's been redecorated, given a new uniform and is continuing to be improved. It is also a language college and a beacon school. There is also a joint 6th form with the boys school.
