Sports in Didcot In Didcot there are many sporting activities. Recently many facilities such as Willowbrook Leisure centre on Ladygrove have been built. These have contributed significantly to the level of sporting activity within Didcot rising, and many people are now getting more involved! Facilities range from a skate park to football stadium.
Thames Valley Youth Games The Thames Valley Youth Games are an annual event in which young people of the ages of 9-15 have opportunities to participate in sports. Categories include athletics, badminton, basketball, cricket, football, hockey, netball, rugby, swimming and tennis. Apart from badminton these are all part of the sport England initiative. This years games will take place on the 9th of July at Windsor and Maidenhead. Badminton There are several clubs round Didcot waiting to be joined, including Didcot Nomads badminton club, Oxford badminton club, Wallingford badminton club, and Blewbury badminton club. Also there are courts to be hired from Didcot leisure centre and Willowbrook leisure centre (see helpful links)
Bowls An excellent club for ages 10 to over 90. Located on Britwell Road, just off Broadway near the Civic Hall. Didcot Bowls Club (DBC)
Cricket There are several junior and adult teams in Didcot. For more information and to get involved, the websites here.
Hockey Banbury hockey club appears to be thriving, click here to visit their site. There are also several ice hockey clubs; Oxford City Stars Ice Hockey Club, Oxford University Womens Ice Hockey Club and Oxford City Zodiacs Ice Hockey Club.
Martial arts There are several martial arts groups in and around Didcot, such as Oxford GTI Taekwon-do Club, and the Tae Kwon-Do and Self-Defence clubs in Calne, Didcot, Newbury, Swindon East, Thatcham and Wantage Schools. These are great opportunities to do some sport, make some friends and improve your mind.

Swimming Didcot has a large indoor leisure pool called the Didcot Wave. There is a local swimming club which is on a Sunday evening at the Didcot wave (Didcot swimming club). Table tennis The website for Didcot Table Tennis Club seems to be down, but the phone number is 01235 764330. Ask for Mr Guthrie.
Tennis Hagbourne Tennis Club The tennis club was formed the 2001 by a group of residents interested in playing tennis. As we do not have any courts in the village we have been playing at St. Birinus School, which has six new courts, who have kindly let us hire three courts twice a week from April to September every year since. Volley ball In Didcot, call Chris Milne on 01235 848715 to get involved. There doesn't seem to be a website however.
