College StatusYear 1 - 1997/1998
We were very pleased to be awarded the status of
Language College on 1st September 1997.
As a Language College we aim:
- To raise further standards of achievement for
all students particularly in Modern Foreign Languages, through innovation in
teaching and learning and by enhancing the resources available to students and
the community.
- To permeate the curriculum and the school ethos
with an international perspective so that all students will have a wider
appreciation of the world and a greater linguistic competence.
- To build upon our growing partnership with
commerce, industry and local schools, colleges and universities. To develop in
our students the skills, qualities and capacity to participate increasingly in
the global economy and so generate the wealth that supports our nation.
- To broaden and diversify the range of Modern
Foreign Languages taught in the school, in association with sponsor companies
and partner schools.
