The Inclusion Development Programme (IDP)

Produced by the Department for Education, these rich multimedia resources cover the four areas below for secondary schools. They are aimed at TAs, NQTs and Teachers.

 

Advanced training materials for teaching pupils with SEND

These materials consist of 5 specialist modules and a resource library for teaching pupils with SEND in mainstream schools.

Resources for Specific SEND areas

Resources are grouped under the four broad areas of special educational need as defined by the SEN Code of Practice June 2014 (sections 6.28 -. 6.35). These are:

  1. Communication and interaction (C&I)
  2. Cognition and learning (C&L)
  3. Social, emotional and mental health difficulties (SEMH)

    The MindEd website hosts free e-learning resources covering a range of mental health issues. Create a free account to save your progress and print certificates for units completed.
