On Thursday 5th March, students in all year groups came together to mark World Book Day. More students than ever took part in our annual costume competition, and we were so impressed with the creativity on display. This year's winners, in no particular order were:

Poppy as Romeo
Marci as The Cat in the Hat

They will receive a book token as their prize later this week!

All last week, students had the chance to win a prize every time they borrowed a book - if their book contained a golden ticket, students won a prize from a selection including lollies, pens, stickers, bookmarks and even a book token. There are a number of golden tickets left so we will keep this going until all the prizes have been won!

On Friday, teachers began each lesson reading an extract from a favourite book, giving students a calming start to the lesson, as well as the opportunity to discover new books.
