On Thursday, two teams from DGS took part in the District Finals of the Youth Speaks competition in Reading. 

We were really impressed at how well the six students delivered their speeches, with warmth, engagement and a sense of humour.  There was only a first prize for each of the intermediate and senior rounds, and in both cases this went to other schools.The standard of speeches from all schools was incredibly high.

All the students came away excited and pleased with their performances, and are already looking forward to taking part again next year!
