This week, students participating in the Bronze Duke of Edinburgh's Award began gearing up for their expedition with their first day of training. The Year 9s learned some map-reading skills and basic first aid, as well as what and how to pack for their expedition. The highlight of the day was definitely learning how to use the trangia stoves the students will be cooking on for the expedition, as it meant that they got to enjoy a tasty hot chocolate as a result! Next up is the training walk in May!
