On Monday 9th February, 40 Year 8 students travelled to Williams F1 in Grove to take part in a STEM workshop. After a quick introduction to Formula 1, students were tasked with designing a new nose cone that would keep their driver safe in the event of a crash. Students also had to put their budgeting skills into action by trying not to spend more than £100k and prizes were awarded to the team with the winning design and presentation. After lunch, students got to see what it's like to drive an F1 car on the Esports simulators and explored the expansive museum, chronicling the evolution of the Williams racing cars over the years.
