Visual Arts around DGS

Posted on: 17/05/2021

Our priority for the Visual Arts this term has been on collaboration and teamwork, and we are starting to see the fruits of this labour popping up across the school. St Frideswide's building is a-wash of vibrant colours thanks to the Key Stage 3 Textiles students honing their hand sewing skills with Miss Thursfield, whilst studying the work of Hunderwasser. Just next door, other Key Stage 3 artists have been busy discovering the work of Matisse and his bright cut-outs and have produced large-scale group pieces in this style. Having colour around the school is so important, and this combined display has really brought some life and colour to the walls for us all to enjoy.
