800 signatures for Climate Change from DGS!

Posted on: 24/09/2019

Climate Change is clearly on all our minds right now. We don't particularly want students to miss school to strike, yet we have enormous sympathy for their cause. At DGS we decided to hold our very own peaceful protest during lunchtime at school. The Climate Change Leaders and House Captains look the lead on the planning. We were overwhelmed by the number of students and staff who came out to support the event. It was very heartening to see students approach us in huge numbers to sign our petition, which we will now send to the local MP. The photographs say it all really. When young people take the lead on something that matters to them, amazing things happen! This served as excellent ground work for our upcoming Climate Change Summit later this year - watch this space!
